I&B min to evaluate manpower need in animation, gaming

Mumbai: The Information and Broadcasting Ministry is planning a study on the Indian animation and gaming sector.

The ministry has engaged PricewaterhouseCoopers to prepare a report for human resources for animation, gaming and visual effects in order to understand the requirement of skilled manpower to meet the growing demand within the industry and take necessary facilitative steps.

The Indian animation and gaming industry is an emerging area of growth in India. To assist the Ministry in identifying manpower and skill sets requirement parameters for the industry, inputs are invited from the industry, academic institutes and from students through virtual open house by responding through the following e-mail ids:

a) Organizations/Professional to mail their inputs at industry.inputs@gmail.com
b) Academic Institutes to mail their inputs at academia.inputs@gmail.com
c) Students/Fresh pass outs to mail their inputs at students.inputs@gmail.com

Workshops in coordination with Films Division and Film & Training Institute (FTII), Pune will also be conducted in Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Chennai for interactions on the above aspect.
