MUMBAI: The soundtrack of Yash Raj Films’ Dhoom:2 is now also available on Apple’s iTunes Music Store. The music of the movie was released worldwide on 19 October, 2006.
The music of Dhoom:2 on iTunes will be available in countries like Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Deutschland, Finland, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Nederland, Norway, Osterreich, Portugal, Schweiz, Spain, Sweden, the UK and the US.
Yash Raj Films intends to be on the forefront of the ever-emerging digital technology and availability of Dhoom:2 music content in digital format for downloads is the first step in this direction. Subsequently, other archive/catalogue audio titles will also be made available online. Digital downloads of YRF audio content will also be made available from other portals.
Parallely, YRF is also launching its own DRM (Digital Rights Management) platform, through its new look Website www.yashrajfilms.com to be launched in early November. Through this, songs of all its catalogue audio products (starting from Dil To Pagal Hai – 1997) will be available for download in a digital format as individual tracks, as well as entire album. Additionally, web sales facility of ordering audio CD and cassettes online will also be available.
