MUMBAI: Producer-director Sanjay Gupta will showcase three films from his forthcoming venture, Dus Kahaniyan, at the Global GSM Summit in Barcelona this week.
Gupta will be accompanied by actor Dia Mirza, who plays a key role in Dus Kahaniyan, and hungama.com CEO Neeraj Roy for the festival that will be held in the Spanish capital from 12 to 15 February 2007.
Gupta says, “I am thrilled at this unique opportunity to be involved in a project that has the potential to create a whole new distribution model for Bollywood cinematic entertainment. Dus Kahaniyan has been made keeping the mobile and digital medium in mind and the fact that today the market for short films has been given a huge impetus as the quality of video experience on mobile has improved significantly.”
Over 350 CEOs, representing global GSM operators and vendors, will attend the GSM Association’s (GSMA) Leadership Summit that provides an opportunity for the mobile industry’s leaders to participate in ‘behind closed doors’ discussions about issues that affect the mobile business. The Leadership Summit will be held on the first day of the 3GSM World Congress 2007 in Barcelona’s National Palace.
