Mumbai: R K Pachauri was honored by IIFA with the Global Business Leadership Award at the FICCI-IIFA Global Business Forum in Bangkok. The ceremony was addressed by Amitabh Bachchan who introduced the audiences to Pachauri and his work.
Present at the awards were world business leaders and dignitaries who had gathered to discuss issues of global significance. An audio-visual profile on Pachauri was shown to the audience.
Pachauri addressed the issues on climate change and the initiatives that corporates can take to ensure sustainable development and combat climate change. Later, Pachauri and Bachchan planted tress in Lumpini Park, located in the heart of Bangkok.
