Unns to not release in certain territories

MUMBAI: After struggling to find distributors for more than two years, Bhupendra J Gupta’s maiden film, Unns, is finally seeing the light of the day. The film, dedicated to late Sunil Dutt, is releasing this Friday (17 November) in Mumbai, Delhi-U.P., Kolkata, C.P.C.I. Rajasthan, Nizam and overseas.

Gupta says, “We were having problems with the Mumbai distributor. First, we were talking to Sujata Films. Now Bharati Pictures will be releasing the film in Mumbai; including C.P. Berar, C.I. and Rajasthan. Nikita Arts will release the film in Kolkata, Nova Entertainment in Delhi-U.P. and Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision in Nizam. Das Music is marketing the audio, while Eros will look after overseas and India video. As of now, we will not be releasing the film in East Punjab, Assam, Bihar, Nepal and South. As the film is being released on commission basis, only 25 – 35 prints with similar number of digital  prints will be released all over.”

The film has tied up with UFO Digital Cinema to release the film in India. Unns stars Sanjay Kapoor, Rituparna Sengupta, Suddhanshu Pandde, Juhi Babbar and Aman Verma.
