Jamshedpur’s single screen theater Payal Cinema gets a makeover

MUMBAI: Jamshedpur’s single screen theatre Payal Cinema, which is celebrating its 25th Anniversary this year, has undergone a major revamp to offer patrons multiplex-type ambience and facilities.

 

Payal Cinema Jamshedpur, will now boast of comfortable seating, food courts, world-class ambiance, service and more. The single screen theatre has also been equipped with Dolby digital surround sound system.

 

With this revamp, Payal Cinema is aiming to attract both the masses as well as the classes. Separate computerized ticketing counters for current and advance booking and different entry levels have been created for the front – rear stalls and the dress circle and box.

 

"Payal Cinema’s revamp was a much-needed face-lift that Jamshedpur needed and what better time to do so than on the occasion of our 25th Anniversary. By refurbishing the theater with excellent food and beverage facilities, trained housekeeping professionals, an all-new air-conditioned waiting lounge and foolproof security system amongst others; our aim has been to provide patrons with an enhanced movie watching experience," said Payal Cinema managing director Rahul Sawa.

 

As a part of the revamp, the dress circle will now have  single rocker chairs, whereas the box will have double rocker chairs. LED Step lights have also been installed along with new carpets to enhance the look of the theater.

 

Tickets at the new and revamped Payal Cinema have been economically priced, keeping in mind the audience that it is catering to. While the front stall and rear stall tickets are priced at Rs. 20 and Rs. 40 respectively, the dress circle and box tickets are affordably priced at Rs. 120 and Rs. 200 respectively.

 

The new-look theatre will open its doors to patrons on Friday, 7 May, 2010 and will showcase movies like Housefull and the next release from Yash Raj Films – Badmaash Company.
