John Abraham’s next film to roll on 13 Oct

MUMBAI: Writer and director Anurag Kashyap (Satya, Shool and Kaun) will commence the shooting for producers Kumar Mangat and Vishal Bharadwaj’s next film No Smoking starring John Abraham from 13 October.

No Smoking will go on floors on 13 October. The movie is an anti-smoking feature film with a message, and is being jointly produced by Vishal Bharadwaj and Kumar Mangat. It’s a peculiar thriller about an arrogant, selfish man played by John Abraham, who’s a chain smoker, agrees to give it up and go into rehab to save his marriage,” says Kashyap.

“Unlike some media reports, which mention that the movie will also star Ajay Devgan or Nana Patekar, the fact is that John is the only hero of the film. We are on the verge of finalizing the remaining cast. It will be a big budget film and will have music by Vishal Bharadwaj, lyrics are written by Gulzarji, Rajeev Ravi (Chandni Bar fame) will be the cameraman and editing will be by Bharti Bajaj (Black Friday),” he adds.

Kashyap’s other film Black Friday will be released once the verdict of the Mumbai blasts is out. “My movie has been screened in 30 film festivals abroad. I have also showed it at the Columbia University and Washington‘s Smithsonian Institute,” says Kashyap.
