K Sera Sera plans GDR issue; mulls buying IPL franchise

MUMBAI: K Sera Sera Productions is considering an investment in the Indian Premier League (IPL) through buying a franchise of Indian Premier League (IPL). The company will be coming out with a GDR (global depository receipts) issue to raise funds for the same.

Speaking to Businessofcinema.com K Sera Sera executive director Sanjay Lai said, "We decided to get into this as we think it’s a good arena to participate in and it’s also a lucrative business proposition. We visualize a strong bidding. We are coming out with a GDR issue so funding will not be a problem."

The board of the company will be meeting to consider the same and also give authority to Lai for taking part on behalf of the company in the bidding procedure for its investments in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and complete the formality related to bidding.
