Kajol, Tanishaa meet with special kids

MUMBAI: World Disabled Day celebrations got a special touch when superstar Kajol and sister Tanishaa interacted and inaugurated a special exhibition of various hand-made products made by the kids of ‘Punarvas Schools for The Disabled” at Goregaon Sports Complex.


 


Kajol and Tanishaa inaugurated the special exhibition and spoke at length of the talent and bravery of the children. They also spread great cheer and warmth all around, applauding the efforts of the children and were also seen admiring the products on display.


 


Also present at the exhibition were actress Raima Sen, crickter Vinod Kambli and Bhojpuri actress Sambhavana Seth.


 


The Goregaon Sports Club and the International Association of Lions Club District 323 A3 along with institutions working for the disabled under the aegis of the District Social Welfare Department (Mumbai Suburb) jointly organized a Rally, Mumbai Suburban Sports Meet and Exhibition commemorating World Disabled Day.


 


World Disabled Day is celebrated on 3 December observed so as to raise the social awareness about the right about the disabled and provide opportunities to integrate them into the society. Differently abled children from 25 local institutions of Mumbai Suburb, all of whom are working for the disabled participated along with students of regular schools and colleges, in bringing about awareness about the disabilities which followed by Mumbai Suburban Athletic Meet for the Differently Abled & exhibition of the products made by these special children.
