MUMBAI: In a coup of sorts, Bollywood actors Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Shahid Kapur will be setting the stage on fire at the upcoming IIFA Awards to be held in Macau.
Priyanka and Shahid will perform on the title track of their forthcoming movie – Kaminey.
Kareena’s performance at the 10th Idea IIIFA awards has a Turkish-Arabian feel. In one of the songs the actress will be seen as an Arabian princess dressed in gold harem pants made of silk, satin and lace, designed by the stylish Manish Malhotra. The song has been choreographed by Shaimak Davar.
Kareena says, "I’m performing at the 10th Idea IIFA awards this year and I am taking belly dancing classes for my act. I feel ecstatic about my show since this is the first award function I will be performing at this year! I have actually become very choosy about where I perform recently. I am performing at the 10th Idea IIFA awards since it gives me an international standing. This is also my third consecutive show at IIFA!"
Wizcraft director Sabbas Joesph adds, "Kareena, Shahid and Priyanka have agreed to perform. Also with their performance, we have Sonam Kapoor performing for the first time at any awards function. This year Lara Dutta, Riteish Deshmukh and Boman Irani will be hosting the 10th Idea IIFA awards. Besides the performances, we have the Bachchan family, which will be present in full force; the list also includes Hrithik Roshan, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Kangana Ranaut and Saif Ali Khan amongst others."
The awards weekend will begin on 11 June and the IIFA Awards will be held on 13 June.
