MUMBAI: Karnataka chief minister H.D. Kumaraswamy is back to his first love – films. Kumaraswamy is planning to produce Kannada films.
While he was actively involved in politics, Kumaraswamy repeatedly asked the Kannada film industry to adapt literary novels on celluloid. Now, he has taken a leaf out of his own book and is embarking on a film titled Hejje.
This is based on a literature novel by Vyasaraya Ballal. The film, which will be directed by S. Narayan, was earlier supposed to roll in November but has now been postponed to January 2007.
Kumaraswamy has earlier produced and distributed around 200 films.
