MUMBAI: Unlike most first time directors, Aamir Khan’s wife Kiran Rao is in no hurry to release her first film, Dhobi Ghat.
"It is like my baby. I want to take my own sweet time to make it. I am still shooting for the film. After that, there will be at least a few months for post production. So you will have to wait for my film," says Rao.
A former assistant of Ashutosh Gowarikar, Rao started her film independent of Aamir’s production house. Dhobi Ghat which has been shot in real locations, mostly in South Bombay has a host of new faces, with Prateik Babbar being the only actor who has faced the camera in Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na.
Says Rao, "I am still a long way away from the release of my film. I think it will take at least a year."
