MUMBAI: Sohail Khan Productions’ recent film release Kissan been given tax exemption in Maharashtra.
The movie stars Jackie Shroff, Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan. The movie failed to pick pace at multiplexes but did an average business in single screens.
The tax exemption in Maharashtra is likely to add to the collections especially in the single screens. The entertainment tax in the state of Maharashtra is 40 per cent of the gross collections, which goes to the government.
