MUMBAI: Rakesh Roshan’s Kites, directed by Anurag Basu and to be distributed by Big Pictures has kick started its promotional campaign with a tie up with one of Hrithik Roshan’s clothing brand, Provogue.
Rakesh confirmed, “BIG Pictures has signed up with Provogue, for the marketing of Kites. Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori, the lead pair of the film shot for a co promotion of the film in Maldives. It is only for a print ad though.”
Provogue signed up with Hrithik a year ago and has till date, not done any such activity with their brand ambassador. However, with Barbara Mori and Hrithik Roshan’s chemistry, which is there to see, be it due to their liplock or their sensational romancing on celluloid, the brand managers have used this as an opportunity to forge a bond with the actor.
Hrithik ,who will have a release after almost two years, is carefully looking into the marketing strategy of this film. Mori, the Mexican actress who was signed for this film, flew into Mumbai for the final round of promotions. With the film less than a month away from release, the hectic media rounds are soon going to start.
Almost two years in the making, Kites is a big project. The Roshan father and son duo are also pinning their hopes for a sensational Hollywood release, which will have a US and UK premiere.
Speaking about any future brand tie ups, Rakesh said, “There are many things in the pipeline but Big Pictures is dealing with that right now. I am making sure that the film looks okay and has a great release both in India and overseas.”
