Latest Movie Treasure Trove on BIG TV this March

It’s raining bumper crop for Hindi movie aficionados as BIG TV has lined up an exciting bouquet of latest films on their PPV channels for the month of March.

Ever alert to subscribers’ quest for watching just released movies in the privacy of their homes, BIG TV DTH has set out to showcase Aku Akbar’s Gauri – The Unborn, a movie which dwells on abortion to drive home the anti-abortion message.

Love Story 2050 is a sci-fi Bollywood film starring producer Pammi Baweja and director Harry Baweja’s son Harman Baweja and Priyanka Chopra. Some parts of the movie were filmed in Adelaide, Australia.

The films will be shown in back-to-back shows throughout the day on dedicated channels and subscribers will have to pay a nominal fee of Rs. 65/- for Gauri-The Unborn and Rs.75/- for Love Story 2050. The subscription will give them access to the channel from the time they pay, till mid-night of the same day.

“The emerging DTH sector is opening new revenue opportunities for film-makers. Over the last few years, the satellite rights have emerged as a key revenue generator and DTH pay-per-view will be key streams for film makers to generate revenues. We are in discussions with a lot of producers for DTH rights and are also exploring the option of exclusive DTH rights with some of the producers,” said Mr. Mahesh Prasad, President – Reliance Communications.

Viewers can also enjoy blockbusters like Amitabh Bachchan starrer Aetbaar and Ek Din 24 Ghante and mega hits like China Gate and Jungle. BIG TV is the only DTH Service provider in the country to offer its subscribers a monthly subscription for viewing the 10 Hindi and 10 Regional films. A subscriber has to pay a nominal fee of Rs. 50/- per month to get 24 x 7 access to these 20 channels. The films on these channels are changed every 15 days which means that a BIG TV subscriber gets to watch 20 Hindi films and 20 Regional films every month at just Rs. 50/-.

Others include Action – Jung & Mela; Family – Khilona & Milan; Drama – Ganga Jamuna & Bhawani Junction; Romance – Rain & Must; Suspense – Daraar & Sharmilee; Comedy – Ramgadh Ke Sholay & Anubhav; Art – Bhumika & Ankur and Classics – Anari & Anupama.
