MUMBAI: While Madhur Bhandarkar has started doing the research for his next film titled Fashion, he will begin shooting for it only when he has successfully completed the research and has full confidence in the script. Fashion will be produced by UTV.
“The shoot of the film will start only when I have successfully completed my research and the script. It is essential for me to have complete confidence in my script,” Bhandarkar says.
Bhandarkar attended the recently concluded Wills India Fashion Week in Delhi where he carefully observed the functioning of a fashion show from the green rooms to ramps.
When queried as to what inspired him about the subject, he says, “I want to know what the lives of these models are when they are backstage. I want to know where they come from and what drives them to the world of modeling. What also interests me is their life beyond the ramp.”
Speaking about his forthcoming Traffic Signal, he says, “The film is almost 90 per cent complete and I plan to release the theatrical promos during Diwali/Eid with either Don or Jaan-E-Mann.” Traffic Signal stars Konkana Sen Sharma and Kunal Khemu and revolves around the life of a common man on the streets of Mumbai.
