Mumbai: The cast of Maharathi, Naseeruddin Shah, Om Puri, Paresh Rawal, Boman Iraani, Neha Dhupia and Tara Sharma, have decided to cut their fees for the film.
Produced by Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Ltd. and directed by Shivam Nair (of Soha Ali Khan-Abhay Deol starrer Ahista Ahista fame), Rawal’s famous Gujarati drama has been bought alive on celluloid in a Bollywood film of the same title Maharathi.
The actors loved the script so much that they cut their fees drastically to be the part of the mystery-thriller which releases on 5 December.
Uttam Gada, who has penned the play, has done the screenplay and dialogues for the film.
