Manmohan Shetty invests in Jain’s production company

MUMBAI: Ex-Adlabs chairman and managing director Manmohan Shetty and ex-Adlabs head of animation Siddhartha Jain have jointly formed a company called I-Rock Media to produce movies.

Sources inform Businessofcinema.com, that a total investment of Rs 100+ crore will be pumped for the production of films.

The company will be making eight movies, of which two will be animation films and the remaining will be live action VFX films. Work will first commence on an animation movie in March.

While Shetty will be the investor in I-Rock Media, Jain will be the company’s CEO.

Recently, Shetty along with Sunil Doshi also collaborated with Prannoy Roy’s NDTV for NDTV Lumière, which is an initiative to bring contemporary cutting edge world cinema to India. NDTV Lumière will provide access to cinema from across the world, premiering world cinema in Indian theatres immediately following their worldwide release. The movies from NDTV Lumière will also be made available across multiple platforms such as home video, a 24 hour TV Channel, pay-per-view across DTH platforms and internet downloads.
