“Middle class housewives are like Mother India!” – Neetu Singh Kapoor

MUMBAI: The hit romantic pair of the 1970s and 80s, Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh will be seen together once again after many years as the lead pair in the forthcoming film Do Dooni Chaar.

Do Dooni Chaar marks the directorial debut of Habib Faisal and is also Walt Disney’s first full-length non-animated Hindi language feature film. The film has been shot in actual locations in and around Delhi.

The film is about a middleclass man  who teaches at a school and his struggle in everyday life. The film also stars Archit Krishna and Aditi Vasudev.

Speaking about her role as Kusum Duggal in the film, Neetu says, “I play a middle class housewife in the film and I could totally relate to the character since I come from a middle class background myself. I must say that a middle class woman is like mother India, because of the way they manage their lives, their homes, their kids and also the budgets! Every woman will identify with this role.”

The film is slated to release on 8 October, 2010.
