MUMBAI: NDS, the provider of technology solutions for digital pay-TV, has appointed Alan Dishington as director of sales for NDS India. Dishington will be based in New Delhi, reporting to NDS Asia Pacific senior vice president and general manager Sue Taylor .
In his new position, Dishington will oversee all Indian business development, sales and pre-sales activities. He will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities for NDS end-to-end pay-TV solutions in India in cable, satellite (DTH) and IPTV.
Prior to joining NDS in India, in 2004, Dishington was NDS director marketing, EMEA, based in London. Earlier in his career, he held key operational roles at Sky Italia and BSkyB.
Taylor said, "NDS recognizes the potential for the rapid growth of digital pay-TV technology in India. With his many years of experience, Alan is ideally suited to develop new business opportunities and solutions. We expect his contribution to be invaluable both to NDS and to the Indian pay-TV market."
