MUMBAI: Almost everyone who was following the reality show Rakhi Ka Swayamvar on NDTV Imagine, were glued to the idiot box on Sunday to watch the live telecast of the swayamvar finale.
What’s more, once the engaged couple decides on their wedding date, the channel will also air the wedding ceremony live.
Sawant finally made the choice from the three finalists Manas Katyal, Chhitiz Jain and Elesh Parujanwala by garlanding Toronto based Parujanwala in an event that was attended by celebrities like choreographer Saroj Khan, actors Ravi Kishen and Ram Kapoor, Smita Bansal and Sudha Shivpuri among others.
Speaking to Businessofcinema.com NDTV Imagine executive vice-president content Shailaja Kejriwal said, "We will be airing the wedding live on NDTV Imagine once their families and the pundits decide on a suitable date."
According to Sawant she made the choice since Parujanwala has been the same on and off camera and has taken good care of her. "He is everything I was looking for and I am glad to have found him on the Swayamvar," she said.
The two of them exchanged rings and have decided to get married a little later as both need time to understand each other better. "We will soon get married in front of all of you in keeping with all our traditions," said Sawant.
