NDTV Lumiere buys rights to 7 world cinema films

CANNES: NDTV Lumiere has acquired exclusive India rights of seven films that are part of the 22 films being screened at the Cannes Film Festival 2008. These films were acquired at the Berlin Film Festival in February 2008 and will be presented to Indian audiences in the coming months across multiple platforms ranging from theatrical releases to home video and television.
 
NDTV Lumiere will premiere its first film on 29 May in Mumbai, New Delhi and Bangalore. This will be followed by frequent theatrical releases and other initiatives across various platforms
 
These seven films are masterpieces of current world cinema. They include:
 
A Christmas Tale by Arnaud Desplechin: Official Competition
Three Monkeys by Nure Bilge Ceylan: Official Competition
Chelsea on the Rocks by Abel Ferrara: Special Screening
Sangue Pazzo by Narco Tullio Giordan: pecial Screening
Tokio by Miuchel, Leo and Nond Joon-Ho: Un Certain Regard
Salt of the Sea by Anne Marie Jacir: Un Certain Regard
Home by Ursula Meire: Critic’s Week
