NDTV Lumière films bag three awards at Osian

Mumbai: Three NDTV Lumière’s films that were screened at the 10th Osian Cinefan Film Festival won awards amongst varied categories.

Among the 13 cinematic wonders, Nuri Bilge Cylan directed movie Three Monkeys won the Best Director award and Annemarie Jacir directed Salt of the Sea won the FIPRESCI (Best Film) Award. Also, Nada Abou Farhat won the Best Actress award for her amazing portrayal of ‘Ziena’ in Philippe Aracntingi directed Under the Bombs.

NDTV Lumière director Sunil Doshi said," This win further re-affirms and demonstrates that NDTV Lumière’s collection of films are rewarded and celebrated not only at international film festivals like Cannes but at Osian Cinefan Film Festival as well. Between 60 days and end of Cannes, we brought these films for the Indian audiences and we are looking forward to make these available to the avid followers of World Cinema through various platforms."

The 13 NDTV Lumière movies that were screened at the Osian Cinefan Film Festival were, The Chaos, Paloma Delight, Thousand Years of Good Prayers, Jellyfish, Ulzhan, Blind Mountain, Wonderful Town, Three Monkeys, Salt of The Sea, Breath, Under the Bombs, Secret of the Grain and 8  ½. These films will also be presented to the Indian audiences in the coming months across multiple platforms ranging from theatrical releases to home video and television.
