MUMBAI: After appointing Shah Rukh Khan as its brand ambassador, Nokia India has now brought on board Priyanka Chopra to endorse its product line.

Chopra has been signed in order to create a deeper connect with Nokia’s young and style savvy consumers. As part of this association, Chopra will be seen in the company’s new ad campaign that represents style, modernity and individuality with the catchy tagline: "It’s not just a phone; it’s who we are."

The TVC (television commercial) will be integrated with other consumer touch points like print, outdoor, radio, online and digital media. It will be directed by Jonathan Lennard and developed by the creative agency Wieden and Kennedy. It is slated to go on air next week.

Nokia India director marketing Devinder Kishore said, "Today, mobile phones have transcended from their functional use and become style statements. Nokia as a brand has led this movement and is constantly evaluating new and interesting shapes, styles and materials combined with relevant features to create products that specifically meet consumers’ lifestyle needs across price points."

"Nokia is delighted to strengthen its bond with the style conscious consumers, both through its association with the glamorous Chopra and our latest style campaign. This is a very trendy and attractive campaign that focuses on weaving Nokia in people’s lives across all their stylish and cherished moments," he added.

Chopra said, "For me mobility has always been Nokia! From my first mobile phone to my current do-it-all, Nokia has been my constant lifestyle technology companion. I am very honored & equally excited to be associated with Nokia, which has become a vital extension of who we are."

The TVC is stylish and humorous with a touch of allure. The campaign illustrates different aspects and situations of life wherein a mobile device enriches people’s lives through connected mobility and inspired human technology. It brings out how people use the elements of mobility: voice, imaging, SMS, email in their everyday life.
