Paresh Rawal returns to TV with soap on Zee

MUMBAI: Bollywood actor Paresh Rawal’s production house returns after a long gap with a soap for Zee TV.

The show, Teen Bahuraniyaan will be telecast Mondays to Thursdays at 10.30 pm from 26 March 2007. According to the channel, the show has been produced by Paresh Rawal and Swaroop Sampat’s Playtime Creations with a Gujarati backdrop for the first time ever.

The show, says Zee, is the tale of the varied interests of three daughters in law, bahus, from extremely different backgrounds and upbringing who are now living under one roof.

Says Zee TV programming head Ashvini Yardi, “We always tackle extremely topical and relevant subjects in our show. Be it Saloni from Saat Phere, Vidya from Dulhann or Lakshmi from Betiyann, the protagonists have a ‘purpose,’ a raison d’etre. This new serial will also deal with the ever-prevalent subject of a new daughter in law’s entry in a household that is different from the one she has been brought up in. We all will be able to identify with this theme.”
