Percept acquires By Design India

MUMBAI: Percept Group agency’s Imageads has now merged with By Design India, a communication solution agency, to form IBD India Pvt. Ltd.


 


By Design India was headed by Rahul Gupta (founder and managing director) who set up the agency in 1994. In the last eight years, By Design has evolved into a full service cross media communication specialist.


 


Imageads is a fully owned subsidiary of Percept/H, with focus on the entire spectrum of specialised services for the services sector – financial, IT, education, insurance, hospitality and others. With over three decades of experience in integrated brand promotions, Imageads is into handling the financial, public and service sectors. Imageads has handled over 100 public / rights issues for various sectors.


 


Imageads managing director C D Ramachandran has retired from his post and Rahul Gupta has been appointed as the managing director of the merged entity – IBD India Pvt. Ltd.


 


Percept Holdings president corporate affairs Ajay Upadhyay said, “The design capabilities of By Design and the focus and processes that Imageads brings to the table, will address today’s new age advertising for clients.”

The merged entity – IBD India starts off with a consolidated billing of Rs 1 billion per annum. Jointly, IBD India’s service forte will include agility in responsiveness to market dynamics, through modular and customized communication solutions and cost efficiency in services. The range of services includes advertising, promotions, direct marketing, brand identity and interactive media.


 


Percept/H CEO Ajay Chandwani added, “This partnership will only strengthen our service offering to our clients. While IBD will continue to service its key clients, we will look at working together and synergising wherever necessary to ensure the best creative and strategic inputs to all our clients.”


 


The Binani Cement campaign with Amitabh Bachchan is one of the recent successes of IBD India Pvt. Ltd. Apart from that, IBD has carried out branding and communication exercises for brands like the Taj, BreadTalk, K Raheja Group, J K Helene Curtis, Indian Oil, Avalon Aviation Academy, Georgia Gullini, Bank of India, Sanjeev Kapoor’s Khana Khazana etc.
