Mumbai: Percept Picture Company is set to release the second Pakistani film to hit theatre screens in India.
Titled Ramchand Pakistani, the movie stars Nandita Das and is directed by Mehreen Jabbar. The tentative release date for the film is 1 August.
Percept Picture Company IPR and distribution head Ashok Ahuja says, "Ramchand Pakistani is a Pakistani film based on the true life story of a child who crosses the border line of Pakistan and enters India. We are working towards having a simultaneous release of the film in India and Pakistan on 1 August."
Recently Percept released Khuda Kay Liye in India. The film was released with 63 prints and grossed Rs 30 million (Rs 3 crores).
