MUMBAI: Producer-director Prakash Jha who has to his credit films like Apaharan and Gangaajal, is now backing a new television show – Baahubali.
However this is not Jha’s foray in the TV industry. A few decades back he had produced a few shows of which Mungerilal Ke Haseen Sapney and its series were quite popular.
Talking about, Baahubali, the cast includes Mukesh Tiwari, Mohan Joshi, Chetan Pandit, Daya Shankar Pandey, Vishnu Sahrma and many more. Jha along with the director, Anshuman Kishore Singh recently launched the show with a mahurat shot. Forty episodes of Baahubali have already been canned and the show will go on air next year.
Also, there is one more TV show in the pipeline; Jha is planning the revival of it’s Mungerilal series.
Apart from TV shows, this year will also see the release of Prakash Jha Productions and Sudhir Mishra’s Khoya Khoya Chand.
