London: Prime Focus Limited has recently acquired 55% stake in UK based post production company- VTR Group. VTR is a £20 million European media services company with more than twenty years of post-production experience in commercials, music videos, feature films, visual effects and CGI, channel design and branding, and indents work.
“This acquisition would enable Prime Focus to jump start its visual effects outsourcing business”, says Namit Malhotra, Managing Director, Prime Focus Limited.
Namit further adds, “VTR will act as a facilitator to take in large visual effects projects which will be backed by our facilities in India. Our Indian clients through VTR will get access to cutting edge high – end visual effects and CGI capabilities. This will provide clients the best value for money domestically and internationally.”
VTR’s digital asset management has clients such as Paramount, Cadbury’s, Waitrose. It has also worked with many of the most prominent names in advertising and with some of the top television broadcast houses.
The group functions out of its four operating arms – VTR (post-production for commercials, promos and feature films) , Blue (post production for broadcast and commercials), The Hive (animation, design and VFX) and Time Machine Room (DVD authoring, encoding and duplication services).
