MUMBAI: Pyramid Saimira and Kamal Haasan’s production house Rajkamal Films International have joined hands to co-produce Marmayogi.
Pyramid Saimira managing director PS Swaminathan said, "It would be a technically rich film on par with international standards. The film is to be made simultaneously in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu. We are also planning to make the film in English. This is a high cost, high value project."
However, he refused to divulge the budget of the films. Marmayogi will be directed Kamal Haasan. He will also play the lead role in the film.
"The project will be a landmark project in the technical as well as cinematic qualities and will try to project Indian cinema in the best possible manner internationally," Swaminathan added.
‘The lead stars, technicians and other artistes are being finalized jointly with utmost care and consideration and therefore no confusion would arise over the issue’, he added.
Hassan added, "Rajkamal Films International has signed an agreement with Pyramid Saimira Group. Any news contrary is a slur on our bonafide partnership. Any union should have consenting partners. One-sided intent does not constitute a partnership and claim to such a union apart from being inaccurate could also become illegal."
The multi-million dollar film is slated to go on floors soon.
