Pyramid Saimira to release Rajinikanth’s Kuselan on 1 Aug

MUMBAI: Pyramid Saimira will be releasing Rajinikanth’s film, Kuselan, directed by P. Vasu, on 1 August.

The company will release the film across 900 screens in India, the UAE, Australia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, New Zealand, Europe, Canada, China, and the US.

The movie highlights the importance of friendship in every individual’s life.

The cast also includes Pasupathy, Nayantara, Meena and Vadivelu. The soundtrack has been composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar. This film is produced bi-lingually in Tamil and Telugu. The Tamil version is a joint production of Kavithalaya and Seven Arts Films, while the Telugu version titled Katahnayakudu is a joint production of Vyjayanthi Movies and Seven Arts Films.

In the movie, Rajinikanth plays the role of a superstar while Pasupathy plays the role of his friend, a barber. Meena plays the role of Pasupathy’s wife while Nayantara stars opposite Rajinikanth. Based on friendship and noble values, the movie traces how Rajinikanth is too busy with his career to spend any time with his friend.

Pyramid Saimira Entertainment Singapore has the copyrights for this film worldwide. The movie will be released simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu.

Pyramid Saimira Group chairman and managing director P. S. Saminathan said, "Pyramid Saimira distributes and releases around 100 films a year, but every year there will be one or two films, which will convert a film release into a great festival. This is easily the most-awaited film of the year and like Siivaji, may become Indian film’s highest grosser this year."
