MUMBAI: The Rajasthani film industry is likely to get a shot in the arm with a new film, Sanchi Thari Preet, being made currently.
While regional cinema, including Bhojpuri and Marathi has been on the upswing, there have not been many Rajasthani films produced in the recent past.
Says the film’s director Amit Sharma, “Sanchi Thari Preet tells the story of an educated youth seized by a sense of insecurity. Rajendra Mathur has produced this Rajasthani film, under the banner of Lalit Videos. We have completed a major schedule in Jaipur. We will can some more scenes at Chomu and Ajmer shortly.”
