MUMBAI: Ramesh Khatkar, who has written scripts for Ram Gopal Varma and assisted him in a few films, has turned director. The film is titled Toss and is produced by S.P. Singh.
Singh says, “Ramesh Khatkar had written screenplay and dialogue of Mast starring Urmila Matondkar and Aftab Shivdasani in 1999. Thereafter he assisted RGV in few films. This is his debut film as a director for which he has also penned the script. We have completed the shooting of the film in one schedule in Goa and are looking forward to release the film in September.”
Toss stars Prashant Raj (who has been cast in the character of Jai in Ram Gopal Varma Ke Sholay), Ashmit Patel, Sneha Ullal, Aarti Chhabria, Sushant Singh, Rajpal Yadav, Zakir with new find Madhurima and Mahesh Manjrekar.
