Long after Deepika Padukone has been signed on for SLB Films’s next ‘Ram Leela’, the Kareena Kapoor-Sanjay Leela Bhansali drama continues.

Amongst all the confusing buzz about why it didn’t work out between the two, now a new theory has come in.

Initially it was reported that Kareena walked out of the film due to less remuneration and more shooting days, later Sanjay rebutted that he asked the actress to choose between her wedding and the movie (because his “Juliet could not be married”).

Insiders now reveal that the crux of the matter was a clause in the agreement which became a bone of contention between the heroine and the filmmaker.

Bollywood film contracts are now becoming more stringent and watertight by the day following the trend of foreign studios.

Not only do production houses ask actors to not disclose their role and costumes; but also make actresses sign clauses to not fuss about kissing or bold scenes or even wearing revealing clothes and bikinis.

And now there’s this most recent twist to the tale of film contracts specially for leading ladies who are married, engaged or in live-in relationships.

Kareena Kapoor allegedly got a taste of this while negotiating for the film ‘Ram Leela’.

Considering Kareena’s impending marriage with Saif Ali Khan, we hear Sanjay wanted the actress to sign a contract demanding she not get pregnant during the making of the film.

Of course Kareena, being Kareena refused to sign the clause.
