Mumbai: Star Plus will be airing Red Chillies Entertainment’s first television production called Surf Excel LI’L Star Awards.
The awards show is for kids and by the kids and will be aired on 14 December at 1 pm.
Produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s production house, Surf Excel Li’l Star Awards will see children under the age of 18 vote for their favorite actor, actress, mom, friend, best film etc in 19 categories.
The head jury member is veteran actress Neetu Singh and the Surf Excel Li’l Star Awards jury also includes children from different fields – Dheirya, Shirya, Aishwarya, Vineet and Amey Pandya. Shreyas Talpade and Jaaved Jafferi will host the show.
The award categories are designed by the kids and include – Best Dialogue, Best House, Best Friend, Best Mom, Best Animation Film, Best Animation Character, Best Comedian, All Time Favorite Kids Song, All Time Favorite Movie, Best Dance Step, Best Song, Best Costume, other than the regular ones of Best Debut Male, Best Debut Female, Best Child Actor, Best Action Star, Best Film, Best Actor – Female & Male.
Kareena Kapoor, Yuvraj Singh and Khan will be performing.
The evening highlight also includes Mickey & Donald’s performances as they tour India, and for the first time ever, jive on Bollywood numbers.
