Rishi Kapoor honored by Russian Government at Year of India in Russia

MUMBAI: Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor was honored with a Citation and a Diploma for his exemplary contribution and achievement in Indian Cinema, by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation (ROSIZO) along with Routes 2 Roots, a Delhi based NGO and Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi are co-hosting a panorama of Journey of Indian Cinema, to be showcased in Moscow during the celebration of Year of India in Russia.
 
Speaking on occasion Kapoor says "I am, delighted that Routes 2 Roots nominated me for a citation and certificate for my achievement in Indian film industry with the Ministry of Culture of Russian Federation which I accepted personally at a function specially organized to honor me in Moscow and Vladikavkaz. I am also honored to inaugurate the exhibition of Journey of Indian Cinema which was organized by Routes 2 Roots a Delhi based NGO which is a part of the celebration of Indian Year in Russia depicting the journey of Indian Cinema from the silent Era to the contemporary era. On this occasion a special Audio Visual has also being produced by Routes 2 Roots which was showcased during the exhibition. 
Routes 2 Roots also arranged to screen my latest movie Chintu Ji produced by Bobby Bedi dubbed in Russian in Moscow and Vladikavkaz. 
Rakesh Gupta of Routes 2 Roots says, "Rishi Kapoor was selected by us after careful study of the contributions he has made to Indian cinema. He as an actor, director and film producer, has played each role with full heart and soul. This superstar is called a living Legend because of the immense work he has done during his lifetime. This is an award for the achievements of Mr. Rishi Kapoor in  Indian Cinema."
