The one hour show Shaam-E-Ghazal, will feature Rathod as a Radio Jockey. Apart from playing famous ghazals, the show would also look at reviving ghazal listening and giving a new dimension to it.

Rathod says, “For the first time in the history of FM radio, a show is completely dedicated to ghazals. I am happy that Radio City has taken the lead to give this genre the much needed recognition. The concept of the show is unique and exciting. I am thrilled as this is my first on radio and I am grateful to Radio City to give me my own show on the radio station.”

Shaam-E-Ghazal also presents a unique opportunity for the listeners to participate in a contest whereby they get a chance to send an interesting ghazal / shayari and win a music CD specially signed by Rathod.

Radio City CEO Apurva Purohit says, Radio City has always believed in bringing to our listeners the best, through the best. We constantly push the envelope in terms of giving differentiated programming to our listeners through our music experts. With Life Ki Dhun With Sonu Niigaam, we pioneered the trend of celebrity RJs, which received tremendous response. With Shaam-E-Ghazal and more such programs in the next few months we will continue to treat our listeners to great music.”
