Mumbai: Writer-director Mani Shankar, who had made films like 16 December, Rudraksh and Tango Charlie , is back with Mukhbiir meaning informer. A party to celebrate the completion was held on thursday evening at Hotel J W Marriott.
Mani Shankar was undeterred by his previous films failing at the box-office. ” Mukhbiir is a realistic film. The film is about an informer who is ready to take a bullet too,” enlightens Shankar.
For Sudhish Rambhotla it is his first film as the producer. “I liked the script of Mani Shankar and was confident about his directorial prowess. The film has been completely shot in and around Hyderabad including Ramoji Rao Studios. It was good experience in totality.” How much does the Informer (Mukhbiir) cost him? Rs. 45 million, says the producer cheerfully.
The film stars Suniel Shetty, Om Puri, Jackie Shroff, Sameer Dattani, Raima Sen, Rahul Dev, Alok Nath, Sushant Singh and others. Ilayaraja and Karthik Raja have provided the musical composition.
