MUMBAI:  While his forthcoming film Life Partner is all set for release, actor Tusshar Kapoor will soon be seen doing a double role in a film called Double Jhol.

The film will be directed by Bheja Fry director Sagar Bellary and will be produced by Smita Thackeray.

Speaking to Businessofcinema.com Kapoor said, "I got together with Sagar Bellary on the script and then we started looking for a producer. We spoke to a couple of people. Smita Thackeray liked the script and agreed to produce it."

According to Kapoor, the film is a typical slapstick comedy with a lot of humour. "But it’s going to be classy and up-market. I am really excited about it," he says.

Speaking to Businessofcinema.com, Bellary said, "While I was doing my other film Kaccha Limbu, PR Alok Mathur gave me a reading and it was hilarious. I completed my film and then Alok approached me again after 7-8 months and I told him that I would like to do the film. Then Tusshar and I got together and took it forward. Smitaji came to know about the film and she sent her representative to us and expressed that she would like to do the project. After that everything moved so quickly."

The film also stars Minisha Lamba, Mugda Godse and another female actor who is yet to be finalised, while Kapoor will be the only male lead in the film. Kapoor says, "I will be playing a double role in the film."

Double Jhol will be a shot in Goa and Bombay in a start to finish schedule. The film is slated to go on floors in September and if all goes as per schedule it will be wrapped up by November. According to Bellary the film will be released in the summer of 2010.
