MUMBAI: The team of Agent Vinod is busy preparing for the Mumbai schedule after completing the two month shoot in Latvia. The spy thriller Agent Vinod is the first Indian film to be shot in the beautiful country situated in Eastern Europe.
Agent Vinod stars Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor. The Mumbai schedule of the shooting will commence soon. So far the movie has been shot in Moscow, Morocco, Paris and Latvia.
Says director Sriram Raghavan, “The landscape in Latvia is exceptionally breathtaking. We shot in many different locations across different cities. We got access to some heritage structures, like old ruins, churches and museums. We tried to cover as much variety as the landscape offers.”
In spite of capturing some breathtaking shots, the shoot at Latvia didn’t come easy to the cast and crew of Agent Vinod, who met with various obstacles en route – one being the language barrier.
"It was very difficult to understand their language since not many Latvians speak English. But we had a great team of locals who helped us communicate. They ensured we had a smooth schedule and a great stay,” adds Raghavan.
