MUMBAI:Saira Banu and Navin Nischol — the pair who acted in yesteryears’ Victoria No 203 — will also act in the remake of Victoria No 203, which is being produced by Kamal Sadanah. The original was made by Sadanah’s father – Brij Sadanah in the 1970s.
“The original hero and heroine of the film Victoria No 203– Navin Nischol and Saira Banu – will act in the remake of Victoria No 203,” says Sadanah.
“They will not feature in a full fledged role but they will have a special appearance. Ranjeet will also play a cameo in my movie. I had invited all who were connected with Victoria No 203 for the mahurat of my film. Since Pran saab is not keeping well, he was not able to attend my mahurat. Budgeted at around Rs 25 million (Rs 2.5 crore), we will start shooting from the end of November,” he adds.
Jimmy Shergill will play the role of Navin Nishchol, while Amrita Rao will play Saira Banu. Om Puri will play the role of Pran and Anupam Kher will play Ashok Kumar. The film will be directed by Ananth Mahadevan.
