Sajid Nadiadwala to animate Judwaa

MUMBAI: Remaking and repackaging Hindi films into animation ones surely seem to be the flavour of the year. After Pritish Nandy announced plans to animate its films like Ek Khiladi Ek Hasina etc, now Sajid Nadiadwala will be remaking his Salman Khan starrer Judwaa into an animation film.

Nadiadwala, who had earlier expressed the desire to venture into the animation arena has now set the ball rolling with Judwaa. Though he was in news to remake his latest blockbuster Heyy Babyy’s animated version, but it will be Judwaa which had Salman Khan in a double role that his company Nadiadwala and Grandsons is working on first.

When contacted by Businessofcinema.com, Nadiadwala confirmed the news saying, “Yes, our first animation film will be Judwaa. I will be getting the image of the animated version very soon.”

Nadiadwala is kicked about working on his all time favourite flick, Judwaa. He maintains that routing in animation films was to remake his own films, “Exactly! But right now we have just started out with Judwaa, that too we need to see the whole presentation. There is an international company as well as an Indian company working on the demonstration.”

He refutes announcing Heyy Babyy’s animated version and is concentrating on Judwaa. “It will be very interesting to see and work on a project like Judwaa. The telepathy of the twins will be exciting to showcase in the animated language. Ninety per cent of our audience will be kids, so they would love to see the reaction when one gets hurt if the other guy has been hit by someone.”

For the animation work companies will be outsourced but the wiring will take place in India.
