MUMBAI: Samvaad Video’s new serial Sanyasi will launch on 21 May 2007 and air every Monday at prime time on Doordarshan’s national network.
Says producer-director Rakesh Chowdhary, “Sanyasi is based on a novel by litterateur Pandit Ilachandra Joshi. Sanyasi is basically a love story. It explores human relationships and the relations between a man and a woman. The universal theme of man’s desire that a woman should submit herself entirely to his will is also played upon in the serial.”
Sanyasi has been shot at Panchmarhi, Varanasi, Lucknow and Allahabad. It stars Vineet Raina, Surabhi Tiwari, Namrat Thapa, Ujjwala Rana, Prabha Sinha, Vikrant Chaturvedi and others.
