MUMBAI: Saregama has appointed Times Music’s Adarsh Gupta to head its music business.
Saregama India MD Apurv Nagpal said, “We want to re-position our catalogue to be able to connect with consumers & customers across age and geographies by making it more contemporary & upbeat. There are huge opportunities for us, given the strength and appeal of our repertoire, in both the physical and the digital space and we are confident Adarsh Gupta will be the ideal candidate to spearhead Saregama’s future music strategy.”
As part of an internal restructuring, Adarsh will head Product Management, A&R, Physical & Digital Sales along with Manufacturing and Supply chain bringing the entire music team under one roof.
Prior to this Gupta was with Times Music since 2006 and it was under his stewardship, Times Music launched its Bollywood arm Junglee Music in 2007. Prior to Times, Gupta has international experience in categories like FMCG products, Consumer Electronics & Entertainment (Music) gained in Poland & Fiji Islands.
