MUMBAI: Actor Rajeev Khandelwal has been cast in Saregama India’s new movie, which is titled Soundtrack.
The film will be directed by Neerav Ghosh and shooting will commence in mid-November 2010. The female lead opposite Khandelwal is yet to be finalised.
What’s more Khandelwal will also be seen sporting a new hair-do in the movie. “Yes, I have cut my hair short for this film specially. The character I am playing is that of a young DJ. After trying multiple looks, the director felt that short hair would best suite my character. Since the past two years I’ve had long hair, so I was a bit hesitant to cut my hair but after much thought I felt this was the right look for me,” he said.
Saregama India managing director Apurv Nagpal said, “Rajeev’s character in the film needed a fresh look. He has had long hair for a while now, so this change is only welcome. As an actor Rajeev is extremely focussed and this hair cut and look will only enhance his character. This will be our most ambitious project after Jhootha Hi Sahi, so we are making sure we leave no stone unturned.”
