Saregama India launches digital kiosks

MUMBAI: Saregama India Ltd. has added one more feather to its new media – digital kiosks. These kiosks can be sited in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai with close to 30,000 tracks.


Around 25 kiosks are currently placed at the Nokia stores in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai. Saregama is the sole content provider of all major music companies like EMI Virgin, Sony BMG, Venus, HOM Records and other major national players in the industry for this initiative.


These kiosks are very user friendly and the consumer only requires connecting USB and downloading their favourite songs from collection of thousands of songs in various categories. The cost per download is Rs 12 onwards.


Saregama India head of marketing Gavin Dabero says, “Saregama’s sole purpose to launch these kiosks was to explore new media opportunities.”
