Saregama India ramps up its music management team

MUMBAI: Saregama India has ramped up its Music Management Team to enhance its share across vectors by hiring talent with domain expertise.

The company has appointed R Madhusudhan as head – digital business. In its endeavor to occupy newer position in the music delivery value chain, Saregama India is setting up Digital Infrastructure & Monetization capability in-house. Madhusudhan joins SIL from Hungama Digital. Prior to Hungama, he was with Radio City where he was the head of music & content alliances.

Jatin Pandit has been appointed as head – digital product management business. Saregama is aggressively looking at unlocking the value of its music catalogue in the digital space which currently was dominated with the CRBT Business. Pandit joins Saregama India to translate its music repository into new media products, which will be monetized on several voice & data platforms. Pandit, who started his career with music director Laxmikant Pyarelal as a music arranger, was with Hungama Digital.

Divya Dixit has been appointed as head – marketing for music. Continuing its thrust on becoming a 360 degree entertainment solution provider, Saregama India is looking at innovative ways of showcasing new talents & acts through strategic alliance with leading brands. Dixit joins Saregama India from Tata Teleservices where she was responsible for conceiving, planning and executing the marketing mix for launch of Tata DoCoMo brand.

Arun Kumar has been appointed as head – sales for physical music business. Kumar joins Saregama from Super Cassettes Industries with 17 years experience of the music trade. He will be driving efficiencies in the areas of distribution & servicing of the SIL catalogue nationally.

Saregama India head music business Adarsh Gupta said, “SIL is working on a strategic road map where it clearly is charting newer ways to occupy increased space in the music delivery value chain and thus we have hired the best talent from the industry to orchestrate our plans.”
