Schwarzenegger, Beyonce in Nadiadwala’s next

MUMBAI: Sajid Nadiadwala is set to engage Hollywood biggies in his next film Kambakth Ishq. An industry source reveals that Nadiadwala is all set to roll this magnum opus to be directed by newbie Sabir Khan in Los Angeles in May. Pre-production work is already starting next week in LA for which Nadiadwala is making a hush-hush trip to Hollywood.

Apparently, the producer has a few surprises up his sleeve. Says a source, “Sajid has managed a casting coup in Kambakth Ishq. Apparently Arnold Schwarzenegger, and no less, has agreed to play an interesting cameo in the film. And that is not all. Pop sensation Beyonce is all set to do a bootylicious act in the film. The film stars the super hit pair of Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor.”

“Akshay plays a Hollywood stuntman in the film. Hence Arnold’s inclusion. Our desi action hero will be seen with the international action icon. Beyonce too is reportedly doing a sizzling act in the film. Everything is almost finalized.”

Prashant Shah, line producer of Kambakth Ishq in LA says, “Yes we are in talks. It is the first time ever that a mainstream Indian producer is making such an international film. So far, we have had Deepa Mehta who is a Canadian, Meera Nair and Gurinder Chadha who have been Indians of international origin making a splash in Hollywood. But with Kambakth Ishq, it will be the first time that an Indian producer will be doing this. It is only Nadiadwala who has made this happen. We are in talks with Beyonce and we have also received a letter from Arnold’s office. We are yet to work out the logistics. Things will be confirmed shortly and we will be making a formal announcement when that happens. We are also looking at other Hollywood names to join the cast of Kambakth Ishq.”

Says Sajid Nadiadwala, “Yes, we shall be making a formal announcement very soon. I cannot reveal any further details. As our Indian film industry is making its presence felt and going global, I would like my banner Nadiadwala Grandsons to scale the global level in filmmaking too.”

Says Sabir Khan, who will be making his directorial debut, “I have been working on the script for a long time now and it’s an exciting merger of Hollywood and Indian cinema. So for me it’s like a dream come true that my producer, Sajid Nadiadwala, has left no stone unturned in ensuring that some of the biggest names internationally have shown such keen interest in the film.”

After Kambakth Ishq, Sajid’s production house will roll an animated version of the Salman Khan hit Judwaa for which Salman will start dubbing shortly. This will be followed by a film with Siddharth Anand who is wielding the directorial baton for an outside company for the first time after Salaam Namaste and Tara Ra Rum Pum with Yash Raj Films. The film is reportedly said to star Salman Khan and Saif Ali Khan.

Immediately after that, the next project to go on the floor will be Sajid Khan’s second film, once again starring Akshay Kumar and rumoredly Kareena Kapoor and Vidya Balan as well. There is another project with David Dhawan starring Akshay Kumar and an action film with Salman Khan called Sankee.
