MUMBAI: Karan Johar’s next directorial venture is called Student of The Year starring three newcomers. The film will be co-produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment along with Dharma Productions.

Johar will be launching Mahesh Bhatt’s daughter Alia Bhatt, David Dhawan’s son Varun Dhawan and another newcomer Siddharth Malhotra in the movie. Dhawan and Malhotra have earlier been assistants to various directors.

Unlike Johar’s last two films namely My Name Is Khan and Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, which had a more serious note; Student Of The Year will be a fun film with lots of songs and dancing, more on the lines of Johar’s hit film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.
