MUMBAI: Sharmila Tagore and her daughter Soha Ali Khan will finally be seen in a film together. Confirming the news to Businessofcinema.com, Tagore says, "It is the story of a father and his three daughters. And since the script was so well sourced out, both of us were eager to do the film."
The untitled film will be directed by debutant director, Sangeeta Datta who has assisted Rituparno Ghosh for all his feature films and also worked on another Brit-Asian film titled Bricklane. This Brit -Asian film will be shot in London with Tagore, Soha and Girish Karnad portraying key roles.
Speaking from Delhi, Tagore adds, "After I read the script, I felt I had to do it. Very few scripts come our way that is really good, but this one was something that really interested me. As for the role, let’s not get into specifics so early in the day. We will start shooting in May in London. And yes, it will be great for both Soha and me to act in a film together."
Datta was the first among directors to get them to sign on the dotted line. Soha is currently shooting in Goa and was unavailable for comment.
